If you are an Author and you'd like to use your Envato account to engage in charitable fundraising on behalf of a recognized, tax-deductible charitable organization, there are a few things you’ll need to consider.
Touch base with the organization you want to raise money for and let them know what you have in mind.
They might have tips and provide some guidance on the best way to do this. Ask them whether you need permission to use their name and trademark especially if you’ll be promoting your items on the Marketplaces by affiliating yourself with that charity. They’ll also be able to help answer any questions you and buyers of your items might have about how donated funds might be spent. This way everyone is on the same page about your philanthropic intentions.
Consider exactly how you’ll be promoting the charity on your Envato Account.
Be sure to include clear information about the donation details and the organization you’re supporting on your profile page and in your item description. Give buyers of your items as much information about the charity you’re supporting as possible and provide links so buyers can check for themselves how donated funds are spent and other details like the charitable status of the organisation and anything else a buyer might want to know about the charity and your fundraising efforts.
