General File Preparation Guidelines
-
Save your main file(s):
Organize and name the elements of your design in a clear and orderly fashion. Use layer groups and a coherent naming system to ensure that buyers are able to easily utilize your design. Comment your code so that it can be easily understood and modified.
Do not use spaces or special characters in your file names. Use only letters, numbers, hyphens (-), and underscores(_). For example, your_image.jpg or yourImage.jpg.
If you're submitting:
- Flash or Flex, ensure you’ve followed these guidelines for preparing your preview.swf
- Unity 3D, you can submit a Unity Preview or a video file.
Unity Player Previews
Create a .zip of your Unity preview files, containing a .unity3d file, an index.html document at the top level, (not within a folder), and all other assets.
Video Previews
Create either an .FLV or .F4V version of your video at 640x360px.
-
Check your assets:
Make sure you have the right to use any of your assets in a commercial resale work. If you have assets that are linked to the main file, be certain you've included them in your .zip file. For more information on what assets you can use, see this article.
-
Create a help file:
This should include concise instructions written in English, formatted as a .pdf, .doc, .txt, or HTML document. Keep in mind that buyers may have little to no familiarity with design software, so incorporate clear explanations and visuals when necessary. You may create video or flash instructions in addition to, but not instead of, text instructions.
-
Final steps:
Check that your preview image, thumbnail, title, description and tags follow our formatting standards. Put your finished design and all supporting information into a single zipped folder.
