General File Preparation Guidelines

1. Save your main file(s):

   Organize and name the elements of your design in a clear and orderly fashion. Use layer groups and a coherent naming system to ensure that buyers are able to easily utilize your design. 

   Accurately describe your file format and level of organization in the file description. Be certain to note what software might be required to edit the file.
   
   If you’re submitting:

   • 3D Objects and Scenes, the following file formats are acceptable: Maya, Max, Zbrush, Cinema4D, Modo, 3DCoat, Lightwave, Vue, AutoCad, Blender, .obj and .fbx. Do not triangulate geometry or merge objects unless necessary.
     
     You may choose to upload a 360° turnaround along with your item preview.

     1. Render a 25 frame 360º rotation of your model, where frame 25 is identical to frame 1.
     2. Each frame must be a 590 x 590px JPG, named sequentially. E.g. 01.jpg, 02.jpg.
     3. Images should be no larger than 50kb each.
     4. Put the images in a single .zip file. 

     You may also choose to upload a video preview in .flv format. 
   • Textures, Materials and Shaders, accepted shader and material file formats: .mat, .ma, .rib and .oth. Use only the common, non destructive file formats used in 3D applications. Do not flatten, merge, or rasterize layers unless necessary.
   • Scripts and Plugins, accepted file formats: .mel files for Maya and .exe files for installable plugins.
     Create an .flv video with a minimum dimensions of 640 × 360px. The video should showcase your plugin and how it works.
   • 3D Print Models, ensure you’ve followed these guidelines.

2. Check your assets:

   Make sure you have the right to use any of your assets in a commercial resale work. If you have assets that are linked to the main file, be certain you've included them in your .zip file.

3. Create a help file:

   This should include concise instructions written in English, formatted as a .pdf, .doc, .txt, or HTML document. Keep in mind that buyers may have little to no familiarity with design software, so incorporate clear explanations and visuals when necessary. You may create video or flash instructions in addition to, but not instead of, text instructions. 

4. Final steps: 

   Check that your preview image, thumbnail, title, description and tags follow our formatting standards. Put your finished design and all supporting information into a single zipped folder.
