Do I need a Model Release?

If you have taken a photograph or video of a recognizable human feature (ie. someone who knew them could recognize them from viewing the photograph or video), that you are using in a file, then you will need a signed model release allowing you to use their depiction in the way you wish to.

You must have a signed model release even if the photograph or video is of yourself, a child, or only part of a face. If a person is in any way recognizable in one of your files, then you must have a signed model release.
