What's the difference between Soft Reject and Hard Reject?
If an item is currently unsuitable for sale on the marketplace, it will either be Soft Rejected or Hard Rejected.
When an item is Soft Rejected it means that the review team feels that the item is almost ready to go up for sale on the marketplaces. The item just needs a couple of small changes to be accepted, and the reviewer will list them in the soft rejection notice. Soft rejection notices are viewable through selecting the rejected image in the Hidden tab on your Author Dashboard. You can then make the changes requested and resubmit the item for review (via the Edit tab), rather than needing to upload the item from scratch all over again.
When an item is Hard Rejected it means that the review team feels the item needs significant improvement before it can be approved for sale. In this case the changes required are significant enough that the Soft Reject option is no longer useful to the author. The reviewer may give some specific feedback if there are obvious improvements that need to be made, or may cite quality reasons or other concerns.
